FITK NEWS – The personnel of Sanggar Bina Madrasah (SBM), coached by Joko Susilo MPd, an art lecturer of Islamic Elementary Education Teacher Department (PGMI) in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teching Training (FITK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang had successfully won the music festival, held by Humanities and Culture Faculty of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, (18-29/11).

Around the theme “Exploring the Picturesque of Indonesia Culture,” they promoted the concept of the ethnic-accoustic music arrangement through the utility of Javanese and modern instruments. This concept was remarkably mixed with the meaningful songs entitled “Rasa Sayange” and “Cinta,” which were melodically sung by Tasya, the vocalist. “It is fabulous that the music arrangment concept can defeat other contestants from university and senior high school levels,” said Joko

To show the unique musical concept in the event held at at Auditorium of Humanities and Culture Faculty, one person played more than one instruments. Abdul Latif (calung, kajon, kecapi and marakas air), Lukman (gamelan, saron, rebana, bonang), Ainun (keyboard, angklung, kempul Bali dan playing wayang), Ainur (guitar bass), Ricky (accoustic guitar and flute), Irfai (bonang Bali), and Tasya (kempul Bali). “They engaged the listeners through fascination and exotica of the lively rhytms and scales among other instruments,” Joko added
